Chaplain's Office

Christian Maxwell graduated with a B.S. in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology from Yale University in May 2014. As a proud Trumbull alum, he returned to Bingham Hall to work in the Chaplain’s Office. There, he performed a wide variety of tasks. He managed the Chaplaincy Fellows’ application process and coordinated the weeklong training of fellows in Washington D.C; He organized Coming Together 7, an interfaith conference that had over 110 participants who represented more than 18 religious and spiritual traditions from 42 universities across the U.S. and Canada; He assisted in the coordination of annual Hindu holy day celebrations - Diwali and Holi; He participated in interfaith discussions amongst undergraduates through the Interfaith Forum at Yale; He managed the Office’s social media presence on Facebook and Instagram; He operated the lighting board for a play; He took photos at events sponsored by the Chaplain’s Office to capture the rich, diverse communities the Chaplaincy serves. While performing all of these activities, he also redesigned their website by incorporating several of his photos throughout the site, compiling information into compact sections, and creating logos, with the assistance of his colleagues, for their programming. Overall, he has been very appreciative of his work in the Chaplain’s Office, because it has exposed him to things he would have never considered doing before and has actually made him develop a small passion for photography.
