Diane Cornelius

Director of Education and Outreach for Institutional Equity and Accessibility

Diane Cornelius is the Director of Education and Outreach for Institutional Equity and Accessibility at Yale University. She leads initiatives to promote and expand education on non-discrimination and accessibility for individuals with disabilities and the development and delivery of training programs designed to foster a culture of respect throughout the university. She also plays a key role in the alternative resolution of disputes handled by the Office of Institutional Equity and Accessibility and provides support and coaching to university departments and individuals. 

Diane worked at Yale’s Office of Institutional Equity and Accessibility for four years, most recently as director. Before Yale, she held key roles at the University of Bridgeport, including Director of Title IX Compliance, Equity, and Inclusion, and Special Assistant to the President on Diversity and Inclusion. She also taught as an adjunct professor at the Ernest C. Trefz School of Business.

Diane began her law career specializing in labor and employee relations across both private and public sectors. Her passion for education and empowering people with knowledge led to her transition to higher education.

Diane holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy from Skidmore College and a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law.
